Manhattan Skyline Management Corp. Signs East End Lease with NYC’s Meurice Garment Care
“Meurice Goes East”: Top-Quality Cleaners to Open East Hampton Location at Manhattan Skyline’s 59 The Circle
Manhattan Skyline Management Corp., one of New York’s leading real estate organizations, is pleased to announce a new 630-square-foot retail lease with Meurice Garment Care at 59 The Circle, just off of Main Street, in the Village of East Hampton.
Founded in 1961 by Larry Edelman and since taken over by his son Wayne, Meurice is one of New York’s premier dry cleaning service providers. Known for its expertise and consistency, Meurice combines state-of-the-art technology with artisanal craftsmanship, offering a wide variety of services from garment cleaning and tailoring to interior and restoration services.
This East Hampton location is part of the company’s “Meurice Goes East” program. Launched last summer during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, its mission is to expand its quality cleaning from Manhattan to the East End as customers both old and new spend more time outside of the city. The new space will open in the center of town in May 2021.
“We’re pleased to welcome Meurice to 59 The Circle,” said Joshua Roth, Senior Vice President of Retail at Manhattan Skyline Management Corp. “Premium cleaning services are more important and in higher demand than ever, and this arrangement promises both quality and convenience for residents and visitors to East Hampton.”
“Our East End migration has proved incredibly popular, and we are grateful that Manhattan Skyline was able to accommodate our continued ‘Meurice Goes East’ expansion program,” said Meurice’s Wayne Edelman. “We take great pride in our family-run business and look forward to bringing or top quality services to the East Hampton community.”
This new agreement is a continuation of Manhattan Skyline’s recent retail leasing momentum. Directly across the street from Meurice, J. Mackey Gallery is building out a 1,010sqaure-foot gallery that will open in May. In Sag Harbor, Manhattan Skyline has signed a lease for Obligato’s second Hamptons storefront at 11B Washington Street and a long term lease extension with Goldberg’s Famous Bagels at 111 Main Street.
Meurice will join other nearby tenants Blue & Cream, Dylan’s Candy Bar, Restoration Hardware, Bluemercury, Nili Lotan, J. Crew, Polo Ralph Lauren, UA Movie Theater, Chase Bank, Bonne Nuit, Compass, The Corcoran Group, Book Hampton, Starbucks, Unsubscribed, Le Caprice, Golden Goose and Lululemon in the heart of the village.
Roth handled the deal for Manhattan Skyline.
