Diptyque perfumery coming to East Hampton
French fragrance brand Diptyque is coming to East Hampton.
The firm leased a 640-square-foot retail store at 11 Newtown Lane where it will open this summer.
Founded in 1961, Diptyque began with a shop in Paris, where it still operates in the same location. Today the company is owned by London-based Manzanita Capital and has retail locations in more than 20 countries. The new East Hampton boutique will be its first on Long Island.
“We feel right at home on Newtown Lane,” Jennifer Sabarots, Diptyque’s vice president of retail Americas, said in a written statement. “The area’s residents and visitors share our luxurious yet laidback aesthetic, and we look forward to building new customer relationships in this iconic location.”
Joel Isaacs and Nick Cowan of Isaacs and Company represented the tenant, while Joshua Roth of Manhattan Skyline Management represented ownership in the East Hampton lease transaction.
“Diptyque is the perfect complement to the existing shops on Newtown Lane,” Roth said in the statement. “This internationally acclaimed luxury brand has long been a staple of homes out east, and now is the perfect time to establish a boutique in the heart of the Village of East Hampton.”
